Question on User Presets
« on: August 19, 2007, 12:54:09 pm »

Question to all.
Is there a way to build a specific User Preset (or other default) and have it recognized on Import by Camera and ISO, and have it automatically applied there, or applied when the image is brought up for Preview?  This is similar to the old RSP Processing Parameters which recognized ISO and allowed you to have different settings on Noise Reduction, etc.  The goal would be to have all ISO 200, 400, 800, etc., all have some basic preprocessing, each one different.  Thanks in advance.

I don't think this is possible yet :-(

It would be a massively powerful and useful feature if enabled, Possibly by scripting?

Let's hope it will be possible in a future version.

Rhossydd,

I actually found something that may do it..  Working on trying it now!!  I'm excited if it works (doesn't take a lot these days)  :-)    Head over to:

Tell me that the heading labeled "Applying Default Devlop Settings" doesn't sound like exactly the kind of thing we're looking for???

Looks like that does what you want Jay.

A shame it doesn't go further. It would be great if it could apply presets based on other EXIF data, eg being able to automate applying vignetting correction based on the lens and aperture setting used.
Maybe one day....
