Which features would you like Lightroom to get?

Here are mine:

1. ability to do non-destructive dodge/burn (on a separate gray layer)

2. ability to softproof

Until LR has these things, I might as well stick with Bridge.

1. As mentioned previously, soft-proofing.

2. The ability to use a 3rd party sharpening solution, especially for output sharpening, such as Photokit Sharpener.

3. Do away with file size limitations. It seems silly to have to go into Bridge to see all of my files. For all of LR's cutting edge features, this completely escapes me.

4. Ability to show image dimensions in inches, instead of pixels in grid view.

5. Ability to show image size in megaBYTES, instead of megaPIXELS in grid view.

6. Fix the thumbnail rendering problem. Everytime I exit LR and re-open, all my thumbnails are pixelated in EVERY folder. I have a cutting edge PC; yet it takes MINUTES for the thumbnails to sharpen up.

Thanks!

Adobe also make a programme called Photoshop!
That has exactly what you need.

This isn't a big deal would be a nice enhancement.  I wanted to reorder my images for a slideshow.  I put the selection into the quick collection and then moved them around to their new location.  Once finished I saved this as a collection.  I lost the reordering feature.

I'd also like to save slideshows and web galleries so that I can call them up at a later time and tweak them.   On web galleries, when I change a parameter Lightroom tries to update the web gallery immediately, only to restart when I change the next perameter.  If you have a large gallery, this puts a strain on the computer as I often see the circle of death if I get to far ahead.

It was nice to see Jeff's comment in another thread that suggests a new release is not far in the future.  I also thought I read that Michael is using the new version during his review of the 40D.

I really hope it gets snappier, especially the healing tool and the loads in the develop module.

And I hope, again, that those walls between develop and library module come down, that you just switch off panels you don't use.

The constant swtiching between develop and library is the most off-putting at the moment.

Small solution: allow for comparisons of snapshots. The before-after tool is close to useless.

If you ever ran into trouble if you wanted your images printed, you will know how important CMYK is. I guess an application isn't truly professional without it, because it limits  you so much.

Just working would be a start!
I'm not so convinced about the way it's meant to work as that's what caused some of the problems. JPEg + RAW + PSD files with same name issue for example.
