Help / overexposure to the point of cooking.
« on: August 17, 2007, 10:14:42 am »

I did a search, but just to stupid to find the info I want or need. I cooked some digital files recently. I was wondering if there where anyway to make them printable. I've done some camera raw stuff, but they still look solarized. Thanks in advance.

If by "cooked" you mean that you have over-exposed to the extent that all three channels of data are above level 255, all that data is gone. What I would try in Camera Raw 4.1 to rescue the rest is push Recovery to the Maximum, then reduce Exposure as much as seems useful, increase Black as much as seems useful and see what happens as a final result.
