I think I know why the printer did the blotches. There is a place on the left side cleaning pad where there is a pile of ink sticking up a few millimeters off the surface of the pad. The pile is flattened at the top so I think this pile of ink contacted the head. I rolled the ink off with a qtip. The only reason I noticed it was I was looking around for reasons for the one bad print I saw
Anyone else see this on their printer?
