My university is sending me off on a research/language acquisition (Amharic/Ge'ez, possibly some Tigrinya) trip to Ethiopia in mid-September for two months. While I am over there, I was hoping to get over to Kenya and do a little photo safari on my own dime. I read the recent equipment advice about safari (sadly, much of it well out of my price range, though I will try to get a 100-400 before I go), but I would like some ideas of cost and location for a single person trying to do photo safari. Where should I go, and how much will it cost per day? How long does one need to spend in order to really get a good experience?
