HP APS 1.21 for Z3100

How big is this file?
I also would wonder if the file is actually compatible with other profiling software.

I've been building profiles in APS using the TC9.18 (918 patch) RGB target.  I've been very happy with the profiles I've created.  In honesty it appears as though the profiles HP provided with the printer were created from TC9.18 and not the Easy RBG profiles you can create from the base printer capabilities.

Anyway, I've just started looking at something that Neal Snape brought to our attention in his review of the HP Z3100.  The ability to "edit" the profiles.



I haven't played around enough yet to understand the best way to use this capability but it seems very easy.   You can use your own image and the slider/magnifiers/positioning to show the changes you're making.  In this example I've used one of my cycling time trial images.  In hindsight I'd have probably been better off using my standard test image from Uwe Steinmueller.  At least you get the idea.

I got some advice from someone I trust in color management and profiling and he said to leave the profiles alone.  In other words don't edit them.  I'd probably cause more harm than good.
