Nikon or Canon lenses?

It doesn't hurt to look at Pentax' K10d.

If you do not need autofocus, there will be many older, but excellent Pentax lenses available to you a decent price.

You did not really say what you are shooting, only that you do not need to go beyond iso100. If this means landscape photography, I would at least consider other companies than the two big boys Nikon and Canon.

If your budget is tight, you could even go for the basic K100d and spend the money on better lenses rather than into the body.
