PayPal Cart Template for LR: Question for Mac User
« on: July 11, 2007, 05:48:11 am »

Any other Mac users tried the Web Gallery Template from LightroomGalleries.com with integrated PayPal that Pepino posted in this forum on July 3rd ( http://luminous-landscape.com/forum/index....showtopic=17964 )?

It's a fine and useful template, but I have an issue with the way it displays currency symbols for currencies other than the USD  on my Macs. If I elect to price items in GBP, Euros or Yen, I get a ?-mark in a diamond-shape in place of the £, € or yen symbol. If I use USD in the PayPal settings I get the "$" symbol as expected. I've posted a screenshot showing the issue at http://www.lochaberphoto.co.uk/currency.html

I've posted on the Lightroom Galleries forum ( http://www.lightroomgalleries.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51 ), but it hasn't many subscribers at present, and the site admin can't replicate or understand the cause of the issue.

Have any other Mac users (non-US, I guess) tried this template? Did anyone else encounter this problem with currency symbol display - and if so did you manage to fix it?

I have a MacPro 2.66 and a G4 iMac, both running LR 1.1 in OS X 10.4.10 with the latest version of the template downloaded yesterday. No system issues that I'm aware of. Same problem on both.

Thanks in anticipation

Jim
