Canon G7 Continuous Shooting
« on: July 04, 2007, 10:38:33 pm »

I have a 2 GB Sandisk Extreme lll card in my Canon G7.  I want to be able to shoot in continuous mode under the auto setting and some of the SCN settings.  My recording pixels are set to M1 and Fine, so it looks like these settings are fine for continuous shooting.  I formatted the card with the low level formatting which only took about 10 seconds.  When I press the single shot/continuous button, I don't get an option for the continuous mode(in auto). In auto mode, when I hold the shutter button, I only get one picture.  Has anyone found the solution to this?
Thanks,
Briana

Auto is typically a "dummy" mode that reduces your available settings to avoid confusing less experienced people. Try using Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (Av) mode instead.

I realize that.  However, the manual says that you can use the continuous shooting on the manual mode.  I will call Canon tomorrow, but was hoping someone here had the answer, as I often run into customer service reps not knowing the answers anyway.

Manual and Auto are pretty much exact opposites...
