anything around Boston
« on: June 29, 2007, 08:51:36 am »

I may be attending a conferance at the end of July/start of August in Boston.  Are there any Landscape locations that would make it worthwhile for me to extend my stay for the weekend.

I haven't really been to the US east coast, so not sure what would be around that area.  Other alternative i guess is trying to catch a Red Sox game - as much as i hate them

There are lots of photographic opportunites any place you can find salt water, but just be aware that the tourist season will be in full swing. Better yet, just pick up a NY Yankees jersey and stroll down any street in town - there'll be any number of folks who'll be delighted to tell you where you can go.

hi
I don't know  what type of landscape you are looking for but there are nice photos to be taken in the area around and in Rockport, Ma. It is very near Boston and worth a trip. There are a lot of opportunities both in the small harbor which has a lot of things going for it- there is also a small park with great rocks and ocean scenery just a half a mile away.
If you wish to travel more well then you can go all the way up the coast to the lighthouses in Oconquit -- you also have nice scenery around Porstmouth... a lot do do if you want to drive a bit!
Lots of luck
