Lightroom, Desktop & Laptop

So now we have catalogs.

I use my desktop for nearly all photo work.  I have huge drives, and good backup drives, and in my current setup for LR, I just have one DB.

Now I'm going on vacation for two weeks, taking the laptop.  If I do tagging and editing on the pics I shoot on this trip, how will I merge these DB type changes into the LR database of my desktop machine?

Thanks ... Bob.

2 ways
just copy the entire catalog folder on to your desktop & go to file>open catalog  this will open your catlog on desktop.

another

if you want to import the catalog into your existing master catalog then go to file>Import from catalog (you will have to export your catalog from your laptop 1st& get it on your desktop)
