CS3/Vista/LCD monitor
« on: June 22, 2007, 10:26:30 am »

This is FYI.
Running CS3 with Vista on LCD monitor and had trouble directions in some areas of ACR being blurry.
I, with some help over at NAPP, traced the problem to the fact that I cranked the resolution up to 1920x1200 resolution and had to raise the font size so I could read it.  It turns out that at that resolution, the font size must be less than 111 dpi for those directions not to be blurry.  Hope this saves somebody a lot of time.

Hey WM Chauncey ...

How goes your venture using Vista?  Are you using 32 or 64 bit version?

I'm using Vista 64 quite well with PS CS3, LR and DXO.  I moved to 64bit to help aleviate some of the memory issues I was having in XP.  I often am processing multi-layer, multi-image  (read very large files:  .8-2.4 GB in size) images.   Pretty darn stable and good color control.

I too had a problem with the blur, (LP3065 monitor) and your fix helped.

Good luck!
