Adobe Bridge 2.1 problem
« on: June 20, 2007, 05:38:24 am »

I'm having problems with Adobe Bridge 2.1 correctly building it's cache.

It's set to 'export caches to folders where possible' and has 'larger' cache set in the preferences.
When I try the option ToolS > Cache > Build and export cache...> Build cache  for folder xxxx and all enclosed folders

It often fails to build and export the cache for the sub folders. The behaviour is the same irrespective of the state of the 'also export caches to folder' option.

Anyone else seeing this ?

I won't mention how painfully slow this is on large folders of images or how it drags the overall machine's performance to a crawl whilst building the cache either.

This is on XPPsp2, IDE HDDs, dual 2.8ghz Xeons and 4gb ram, so it shouldn't be slow.

Thanks in advance.
