NEW Z3100ps GP
« on: June 19, 2007, 07:21:52 pm »

After calibrating the monitor w/APS, setting up and calibrating the 'Z' and profiling HP Pro Satin, I ran off color prints of the same 18x24 .jpg from Photoshop CS2, Photoshop CS3, InDesign CS2 and Qimage. The two Photoshop prints are identical...slightly more contrast and saturation than the monitor.  Qimage printed just slightly more saturated, and InDesign CS2 spot on! All the settings were exactly the same in each application, so go figure.

BTW...InDesign and Qimage centered the image on the paper...CS3 printed 1/2" off-center in one direction.

Cost per page info: $3.90US per 18"x24" print, or $1.30 per square ft. (2.34 paper, $1.56 ink). Other info:  Gloss Enhancer on full. Max detail (600dpi). Connection via Gigabit network. 10 minutes average to print w/preview on.

I'm really pleased with the results on Pro Satin...Next I'm scanning some watercolor drawings and a pen and ink portrait that will print on Hahnemuhle Smooth Fine Art 265. I'll share those experiences later on.
