If I intend to either laminate or spray a lacquer coating on a satin or glossy surfaced paper. Is there any advantage in using the GE?

I can't imagine there would be.  The GE solves gloss differential which I doubt you'd see after spray coating and I don't think you'd see it after laminating.  The GE looks really good on HP satin and gloss but it is very fragile.

I printed an image with and without GE and after lamination there is no visible difference.
