Durable Papers?
« on: June 17, 2007, 05:15:42 pm »

Hey Guys

I just got the Z 3100 and its great and all that but I have a question that I need answering concerning a durable paper.

A lot of fine art papers say " Do Not Roll"  well that is bothering to me because I have been Rolling my Prints in A tube and Mailing them.

I am using  Hahnemuhle- Museum Etching and there Photo Rag Smooth Surface.  Also Arches Smooth Finish.  Will these work?  Are there any more durable papers out there that do what these do?

Thanks

Matthew

Durable Papers?

These papers are beautiful, but their surface relief is delicate, and this is compounded by ink. Just drag your thumbnail across the dark/black areas of a print and you burnish it, leaving a permanent shiny streak that cannot be fixed. I have had good results carefully rolling a print with a sheet of thin tissue on the inked side around the original cardboard core, then slipping this inside a shipping tube or the orginal square box for the roll paper.
