If it is a refurb direct from Lacie and has a warranty then it is a good deal to get you to a better monitor without causeing you to go broke. I have the 19" and it is about 5 years old and working great.
I guess there aare 2 ways you can look at this.
1. buy the refurb as a temp. fix and blow $89.00 and hope that it won't have any problems. Older technology
2. buy what you really want, get it new and be done with it. No more time wasted trying to figure out what you should do and so on. More motivation to find more ways to make the ROI better.
