Canon Body Caps & Sensor Dust
« on: June 04, 2007, 06:28:48 pm »

Hey gang, Last week I had a Canon 1D Mark III in my grubby paws at Glazers Camera Supply in Seattle WA. A SWEET piece of equipment!! It is much lighter than my current 1D Mark II and full of other sweet improvements. If you are in the market for a new high performance DSLR this just might fill your camera lust needs.

Whilst chatting with Brent the salesman he also mentioned that Canon did an indepth study of the dust/materials commonly found on their sensors. Amazingly enough a bunch of it was coming off of their own body caps!! So in response to this they are coming out with a new body cap that does not shed bits of itself as easily. Brent will call me when they arrive at Glazers and of course they will fit any current Canon EOS body so keep your eyes open the next time you stop by your favorite camera shop.

And no much to Nancy's pleasure I did NOT come home with a spankin new Canon 1D Mark III!!!! Sigh...................
