Smart Filters & LAB Channels
« on: May 28, 2007, 12:12:54 am »

Having trouble figuring out how to limit the application of a smart filter to a single channel within LAB.  For example, how would one blur the B channel using a smart filter to allow for later changes.  In CS2 all I had to do was select the B channel and run the filter, but the smart filters don't seem to allow this.

*I didn't use USM on the L channel as the example, b/c a smart filter's blending mode can be changed to luminosity once the filter has been applied (I assume this is effectively the same as long as one's within LAB, but please let me know if this is incorrect)*

Any comments, thoughts or insights would be most appreciated, and thank you in advance for your consideration.
