Monaco Profiler Gold ? + iO ?
« on: May 21, 2007, 07:07:41 pm »

As the topic already states, does anyone know whether Monaco Profiler Gold supports the combination of i1+iO ? (Or does it only work with Profile Maker)

After the merge of both companies I kind of expect it, but on the other hand why are there still to different programmes, which do kinda the same thing...

So I couldn't fine any thing on the official page and still haven't got any answer from their support, so does anybody know ?

Thanks

Not sure about directly.

But you can use MeasureTool to measure the targets, then export the data as Lab. If you're on a Mac, you can use Bill Atkinson's free software program to convert the exported Lab data to the sequence/format required by MonacoPROFILER. If you're on Windows, you can my free software program to do the same:

In my case, only the 1728-patch and 4096-patch Atkinson targets are supported.

The old Xrite had a FREE utility called IO which is still mintained and updated - in its current version it can create targets for and read from just about anything including the iSis and the IO. It can also transfer sessions directly to Monaco, making the profiling process seamless.

Colorport can be downloaded from the Xrite site.

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that MP doesn't support measurement with the IO but most MP owners perform measurements in ColorPort (which represents the future of their software technology) anyway. So you can measure in Colorport which integrates with MP for profile generation. The nice thing about this is that you can measure in one application while simultaneously generating profiles in another. It's a good workflow and the final profiles are unparalleled. If you need to measure thick materials the iO is the bomb.

Thanks a lot.

Just one more question, are there any more specific rumours about something new comming up ?

Like a software which finally merges both product lines. Don't even want to know what exaclty, just kinda don't want to buy it in a week and get the nes about a new software a week later.

thanks
