After exporting to DNG, RAW files not seen in LR
« on: May 21, 2007, 07:16:19 am »

I started experimenting with the DNG format. After adjusting, cropping and exporting a folder of Canon RAW files shot with my 1DsMkII to DNG, the RAW files are no longer viewable inside Lightroom. The directory for the export was the same folder that holds the original RAW files.

Opening the folder in the Finder, I can see the original RAW along with the DNG files created by the export processing.

I tried reimporting the RAW files, but LR warned that these files were already imported.

Any suggestions on how to view both?

Thanks.

Adobe were rather aggressive in the code to handle raw+jpeg shooting and treat the second file as a sidecar, therefore hidden. Move the raw files into a subfolder, then import them.
