300 f/2.8 on a Mamiya AFD II
« on: May 18, 2007, 04:51:26 pm »

I'm considering getting a 300 2.8 lens .  What downsides or drawback (if any) is there in using this lens on a Mamiya AFD II?  BTW the camera will have a P30+ back on it.

Thanks to all

It is a very good lens, I have one and I used it on my P45. The only drawback is that it is all manual on a AFD II, it was made for the Mamiya Pro. But the lens mount will mount on the AFD and AFD II a great lens used wide open. You could get one on Ebay around $2000.00.
