Default Media Type Settings on the 3800
« on: May 16, 2007, 02:37:37 pm »

Does anyone know how to change the default Media Type setting on the Epson 3800?  Mine is now set at Premium Luster (a PK paper) but I'd like to set it for an MK paper, as otherwise one day I'm going to forget to change it before printing an ordinary sheet of paper, and waste some ink switching to PK and then back to MK as a result.
Thanks,
Scott

Yes, assuming you're on Windows, here's what you do:

Go to Start menu, Printers and Faxes. Right click on your 3800 printer in the window and choose Properties. In the box that comes up, click Printing Preferences. Change the Media Type from PLU to whatever you want, then click OK. Then click OK again. You're all set.

Thanks Eric.  This will save me some ink at some point. Cheers, Scott
