Managing Lightroom when using multiple computers

Hi,

Just wondering how people out there are managing to use Lightroom when you have say a laptop in the field and a desktop or three back at the office?

Aside from using a large mobile USB or Firewire disk is there some way to sync what might be in the laptop library with that on the desktop machine?

Sorry if this has been asked before and thanks for any help.
