New Canon Printers (iPF5100 and iPF6100)

Since this seems to be the most active forum in regard to dealing with all new LF options, I figured I'd post this link.

I have no affiliation with anybody.  I own an Epson 3800 and am keeping my eye on new developments for when I get a larger model.  I'm waiting for the dust to clear, which includes waiting for the bugs to be ironed out of new products.

This link mentions increased user support via a stronger link between drivers and manuals.  Hopefully, this means better manuals.

Also, I read on another list (the digitalfinearts one) about someone seeing a prototype 64" Epson.  I won't go on about that, since my purpose is to keep up on the latest developments and not spread rumors, but the point is that things seem to be evolving steadily.

For me, it will be interesting to see which happens first, if Epson comes up with products that meet or exceed the advancements in the new Canon and HP printers, or if Canon and HP will work the bugs out of their new products.  (Though I must admit that, at the moment, the difference between HP and Canon seems to be that HP is dedicated to resolving their issues while Canon seems to be creating issues with their indifference.)

Interesting times, anyway.

Kind Regards,

Mike

Oops, I just noticed another post on the same subject farther down on the list.  Sorry about the redundancy.  I only posted this info because I didn't think it had appeared here yet.

Sorry again,

Mike
