help with Apple LCD settings...

Hi, I do mainly Advertising Photography. I find that my images dont look as good as they could when I see them printed in newspapers. I know the media itself isnt high quality but I see other images that look "clearer".
Sometimes the images look to have a grey "veil" over them even though i boost contrast on photoshop (slightly using 20/50/1 usm) and they look great on my screen with plenty of shadow detail.


I shoot mainly with my Canon 5D. Would like to know whats a good setup for my Cinema 23in to get an idea of how to better adjust my images so they look better printed.

Any advice regarding the best Photoshop color settings for that or any other setting/process advice is also appreciated.

What you are trying to achieve isn't a matter of settings. You need to adopt a color-managed workflow and you'll need to get a hardware calibrator/profiler for your display.
