20D Hard to press shutter
« on: April 18, 2007, 01:47:13 pm »

First time posting here, but thought that someone might have an answer.  I'm having an intermittent problem with my 20D.  Sometimes, usually upon start up, I have a heck of a time pressing down the shutter.  After a few shots, without changing any settings, it is perfectly fine.  Does anyone out there know what's up?

Thanks so much,
Lori

It's probably dirty.

Hi Mike,

I'll try cleaning it with a toothbrush, but I can't see a speck of dirt in it.  If it works I'll let you know.

Thanks

I had a similar problem, I'm sure it was dirt. Is there any good way to get it clean by myself, or do I just have to send it to Canon to get it cleaned if it gets too bad?
