Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum and thought I'd take the plunge and post an image up here for people to critique.  I took this particular image at Big Bay State Park in Wisconsin where I'm from.  The park is located on Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands located in Lake Superior. Please let me know what you think.

I think the far right with the yellow and the shadow area detracts from the flow of the image, there is certainly something there but it needs to have the right flow between the colours to work.

Yep, I agree. The yellow works for me, but the black shadow ruins the flow of color. I think that if you crop off the right edge, you'll have a much stronger image.

Hello,

I think is a great image, the dark area would add a sense of depht but it's too much subtle to be effective in my opinion. I would crop it out and transform the photo onto a nice natural pattern abstract color photo.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for sharing this image.

The colors and tones are nice, but my eye kind of has a hard time figuring out where to look.

The lack of outstanding feature is obvisouly the thema of this image, and why not, but I guess this choice is pretty dary. I am not sure that a casual viewer browsing images would really stop on this one.

Then again, it certainly would have a lot more impact as a large print, where a subtle texture rendition can be extremely pleasing to the eye.

Cheers,
Bernard
