Contax adapter for M39 enlarger lenses?
« on: April 16, 2007, 09:25:16 am »

do any of the Contax experts out there know of any way to get a standard 39mm ('Leica') threaded lens to fit on a Contax 645?

I would like to get some of my excellent longer enlarging lenses to work on the 645, but cant seem to find an adapter that does this. I know Rollei did one to do precisely this for the 6000 series, but is there a 3rd party one for Contax 645 made anywhere?

thanks.

I actually am doing this using 2 adapters.  I have  a M39 to Pentacon 6 mount adapter (which I can remember if this was custom made or not), which I then fit to a Pentacon 6 to Contax 645 adapter.  Herr Zörkendörfer can certainly set you up with what you need (and do it more directly).  Find him at: [a href=\"http://www.zoerk.de/]http://www.zoerk.de/[/url]

funnily enough I thought of exactly that route, and tried to find an M39 to Pentacon 6 adapter, but couldn't. perhaps yours is indeed custom? or if not, let me know where its from?

thanks for Zoerk otherwise.

I have a hasselblad to Contax 645 and for 75 you can get an LTM to hasselblad from Fotodiox
. Ive tried it. Works great-infinity focus, and even focus confirm!

"LTM" is Leica Thread Mount, or M39.

it seems Herr Zoerk does indeed have what is needed.

M39 to Contax 645, straight up, or with tilt movement, with helical focusing threads and optional extension tubes if required.

it's not cheap, but it is a good solution. hopefully it will work,
thanks all
