HPZ3100 driver fault
« on: April 11, 2007, 03:56:00 am »

I am getting a fault message ( see attached) when trying to open the driver (XP Pro) after updating paper list  (works fine before)  can anyone suggest a workaround?  It works fine from other computers on network,  I have tried deleting some custom papers as i have heard there may be bugs in this area.  Driver reinstallation has not helped.
Cheers
Ric

Ric, you have specified more custom paper sizes than the driver can handle (about 7) there is another thread here that describes how to work around this.

Ric,

You will probalbly have to uninstall the Z3100 using Add/Remove Programs and reinstall again to eliminate the fault.

Them you will need to eliminate the offending paper size or two as suggested in the other threads here.

Thanks
Can you remember off hand who posted the thread or how one eliminates custom paper sizes-  drawing a blank with brute force and ignorance-  and they usualy never let me down!
No matter what i try I ca'nt work out how to shake the custom paper settings!  reinstalls- deleting folders etc, etc

Ric

1) Open your printer and fax Window
2) Choose server properties from the file menu
3) From the forms widow click on some of your cistome pages and delete them.

The driver should then work again.
