What's coming up?
« on: April 05, 2007, 10:49:09 am »

Hi, I know there's been a lot of talk on the net about the possibility of a new Canon "pro-sumer" model.

I'd love a 5D but its a lot of money, so does anyone have any info ? The 400/350 D are a little plasticy for my needs and I dont like the idea of going backwards to a 20D, and the 30D is no big improvement.
Liked the Nikon D200, but I'm a Canon kind of guy really.............

that sure is the $64 dollar question....we are all waiting....some patiently, some not so much...really not so much difference between 30D and D200, just 2 Mp and if you do not make large prints over 14x21 or so, not much difference. There are bigger differences to the 30D/D200 issue for me, for one thing the hi ISO noise, 5D is another story, but since you aren't going there, no matter. no info beyond that, would like one by end of year, but with more than 10Mp. Not to much to ask for since the 5D will also get upgraded/updated, would like a 6D with 14-17Mp and 5fps and a 40D with 12Mp PLEASE..

and before I get blasted it is just my opinion as a former Nikon owner of both D2x and D200 cameras...re:noise, YMMV.
