« on: April 01, 2007, 02:05:39 am »

Hi

I was wondering if some could enlighting me on the camera calibration function in the develop mode of LR. I understand it come from ACR but am unsure as to its function in LR. Is there going to be specific camera models included in the future and has anyone figured out a preset for the Canon D5?

Thanks
Brad

Ok

Thxs for all the responses!! was this a really dumb qu?

So, after listening to the LL lightroom tutorial i now understand, IT WAS.

So, here is another one.

How can i go about creating a specific calibration for MY camera and its sensor, for daytime and night (tungston) as suggested in the tutorial. Step by step for dummies info is what i need.

cheers

Brad,
Look for Camera Calibration - Fors script on this page. The procedure is quite simple and is explained here. Basically, you need to shoot a 24-patch Gretag MacBeth color chart and then you run the script from Photoshop.
