H1 H2

OK - I here a lot about the H1 or  H2 locking up,  what exactly is happening? Is it the Camera firmware? Lens Firmware? What if I have an H1
& rent a lens, will it work if the firmware is no matching up with the camera?

Or is this just old news that people talk about?

Have Hasselblad update the firmware on the body, the latest firmware has been solid for me (I shoot film).

I use an H2 and leaf back.  I had problems in the begning but it turned out to be a faulty circuit board in the back. Since it was replaced, I have rarely ever had to reboot or have a lock up problem.  Works flawlessly 99.9% of the time.  It is true you need to be sure you have appropriate firmware.  I think if you are using Film less of an issue and older firmware will work fine but not entirely sure about that.

ive been shooting for a while with no problems, but earlier this week i had the h1 lock while shooting tethered, but i removed the battery and reattched so fast, no one noticed. you can do this really quickly with practice. maybe hassleblad should add a restart button to their next body ;-)

today i had a "reattach magazine" warning, i havnt had one of those for a while, but was fixed just by giving the back a wiggle. the contax/p25 had back connect issues sometime too.

I shoot film only. I have never updated the firmware and I've had the camera for 2 1/2 years and never had a lock up.
What DOES sometimes happen is that some settings change between power down and power up for no apparent reason. The things that seem to shift while the camera is off, is the mirror lock up/delay sequence and or the timer set for this sequence - I usually set it to 2 seconds, but it seems to notch up to 10 seconds+ for no apparent reason?! Also the thumb/finger wheel control direction sometimes switches from left-to-right to from right-to-left, which is verry sonfusing when yo first put the cewmera to your eye after a fresh power on   . I think that maybe I acidentally change profiles or something whillst I power down ?

The point is that this gripe aside, I don't see the point in me updating - using the "if it aint broke don't fix it" maxim!
