As an advanced amateur, I don't use the printer on a daily basis. And I don't want to have unload the paper. So I wanted some type of cover that would keep dust off the entire printer, the catch apron, and the roll of paper.
I hope this information is helpful.
Check out:
http://www.compucover.com/You can get a vinyl cover for $34. The size that I ordered was:
H33 W52 D25
A little larger than needed on the sides, but it is easy to take on and off. They also have covers in blue and black nylon. I tried the black nylon but I measured wrong.
The vinyl is also stiffer and easier to take on and off IMHO.
I ordered a four sided box. That is just what is described. My only concern is whether the printer would overheat since I'll leave it turned on for printer maintenance on an auto basis.
But I can't find any output for air from a fan. I think the noise on the left side is the hard drive, and it might include a fan. But again, I can't find any output or input for air. I planned on just cutting a hole in the vinyl, but where? The bottom is open anyway.
Compucover also sells a cover that doesn't have a back or a slot cut in the back, but that wouldn't cover the roll of paper.
