Crane Museo Portfolio Rag
« on: March 25, 2007, 03:50:46 pm »

Looking for a review of this paper:
(from Crane) Museo Portfolio Rag.... is a luxurious 300 gsm extra smooth matte rag paper designed with fine art photographers in mind who want the look and feel of a 100% cotton fine art paper but without the texture that can detract from a portrait or facial close up. After spending hours in Photoshop removing every blemish from your image of a model’s face, the last thing you want is to have paper texture create unflattering shadows. This paper produces outstanding Dmax and color gamut while maintaining fine shadow details.

I think Crane's Silver Rag is outstanding. Got lucky with an Epson 4000 profile by Cathy. Beautiful prints.

I'm hoping to have Portfolio this week.
As soon as it turns up I'll have it profiled and run through ColorThink. I'll let you know what happens.
Cheers,
Brian

I recently learned that a professional fine art photographer Tony Sweet, uses this (Museo) exclusively for all his images. He was raving about this - of course, he has a custom profile for his printer (Epson 3800 & 2400) done by someone for a small fee.
