protective sprays for inkjets
« on: March 25, 2007, 12:33:11 pm »

I am trying to find a good MATTE Spray for Matte  Paper. Some sprays/waterbased coatings  that claim to be matte still leave some sheen to the picture or turn it milky white.  I want it to be completely flat.
I print on Hahnemuhle textured fine art paper.
After spraying I go back in and add paint and respray/coat  it again.

I've looked online, here are some products that caught my interest.....
Eco Print Shield - Aqueous coating.

and

Glamour 2 Giclee Veneer coating for prints in Matte.

These are both water based which I'd prefer, but any great solvent sprays recommendations would be appreciated too.
Has anyone used the following two products?

Thanks for all the help.

Hello,

Have you tried Hahnemuhle's own product yet?

I purchased some recently though I haven't yet had time to try it out.

good luck

Premier Art Print Shield works on any surface. Matte papers will stay matte. It will decrease bronzing and gloss differential on glossy papers.

Glamour II is fine for canvas.  I'd rather use Premier Art Spray for prints.
