CA with LR and D80 NEF
« on: March 22, 2007, 07:36:24 pm »

I've started using LR instead of C1 but I noticed that my D80 files show CA with most lenses whereas the same files do not have these when processed with C1.  I have not checked files from my D2H and D70 yet.

Have anyone else experienced the same problem?

Thanks.

I ran into this problem when processing M8 DNG files in LR.  Turned out to be faux CA and is eliminated by setting color noise reduction to zero or simply pull the slider down from th default 25 setting until the apparent CA (it really isn't true CA) is gone.

In my case, even zeroing the NR sliders did not help.  I ended up using LR CA removal.
