Picked flag in quick collection missing in library

Having just spent a considerable amount of time flagging picks and rejects within a quick collection, I now find that the same files show no flag when viewed in the library. (although other flagged files are displaying the flag icon).  However, if I go back to the original quick collection the flags are still there. I assume that this is a bug or is this how LR is supposed to operate??

Thanks John - although I can now see that this gives another level of flagging items, it does have certain drawbacks.
