Sharpening web galleries
« on: March 11, 2007, 01:36:49 pm »

I have been experimenting with creating Flash galleries out of the Web module and I was wondering what other people are doing for sharpening. Should I sharpen the images before having Lightroom create the images or does Lightroom do a good job of sharpening (indeed, does it sharpen at all) when creating the images?

Any thoughts would be appreciated, especially if you have done any testing in this area.

Ugly as it is, I believe that best practice is still to take the shots into PS for output sharpening, then back into LR to create the gallery.

Thanks, that was sort of what I was thinking but I don't completely trust these old eyes so much anymore.

I fully second Tim's advice. While it's time consuming, the results are much better.
