Epson 7500 firmware

I have not upgraded the firmware since I got the printer in the 7 years or so since i got it,  Is there any new firmware, can it be upgraded?  Ca'nt see anything on the Epson site.

It's not that easy to upgrade which is why you haven't seen it listed. Normal procedure requires the use of a "special" PCMCIA memory card that plugs into the printer. There is a computer method, but I think it requires running a computer in DOS (not a Windows command line window but real DOS).
