I just got home and logged on to my G5, checking the System Prefs>Universal Access>Display and checked the Contrast. Well, guess what, the slider was positioned about 40% of the way between Normal and Maximum. What a great moment this could be. I need to get on and try recalibrating, but I wouldn't be surprised if you helped me secure my freedom from Color Management Hell after six months in the hole.

I had never even thought to look under Universal Access. I bought the computer used, from a slightly disreputable guy, and I'll bet it was set at a higher contrast level eons ago.

I'll report back, but I owe you one 61Dynamic.

Many, many thanks. This is what I love about boards like this.
