Most of the low prices are for a body only without anything else, no warranty, manual, battery, strap, software etc etc. so be carefull don't believe what you read.

Don't even THINK about any of the places you mention. Consider B&H Photo Video, Adorama and 17th St. Photo in NY, Samy's and Canoga Camera on the west coast are also excellent. You will pay more but you will get what you ordered, and if you need to return an item you will be able to without a hassle.
Check http://www.resellerratings.com for buyer ratings of the stores you are interested in.
Basically I tell people to avoid stores located in Brooklyn NY and that are closed on Saturday's.

I agree with the Brooklyn Address statement - but not the "Closed on Satudays" - B&H is closed on Saturdays. Many camera shops (and other stores) in the NY/NJ area close early on Friday due to religious reasons, some will open in the late afternoon on Saturday, others not until Sunday.

BTW, I am not Jewish, and take no offense, however some might consider such a blanket statement rude.

I understand your reservations about  my Saturday closing comments and agree with them except for the fact that many people I know have been cheated by these Brooklyn NY stores, which are  run by ultra orthodox  members of the Jewish faith, who observe the Sabbath starting at sundown Friday and ending at sundown Saturday. There are many legitimate camera companies, such a B&H and Adorama (neither in Brooklyn) who are also ultra orthodox, yet treat their customers fairly.
I accept that my statement was too broad in it's sweep, and therefore retract the "Saturday"part, but the intent was to warn the poster to "beware". Nor do I want to start any religious controversies on this, or any other forum.

Again -

No offense taken - especially as I'm not Jewish, I just felt it should be mentioned that there are many stores in the NY area that are not "rip-off" centers but are ultra orthodox and closed on Saturdays. Many people wouldn't understand the reason for being closed on Saturday and that's how stereoypes are born.

Granted, there's some truth to most stereotypes, I'm just against blanket statements as a whole.

All the best...
