Mounting MFDB's on a Fufi GW670 III
« on: February 05, 2007, 06:33:18 am »

I've had a poke around and cannot find anything.
Does anyone know if any kind of an adaptor is avalable/exists? [for an A65]

Cheers.

Hi,

We do not have an adapter for the GW670 III. We do have one for the GX680.

Regards,

near impossible to fit
and... the lenses on the 670 are
(1) designed for a different format
(2) not good enough quality

try looking at an Alpa TC21 if you want a lightweight handheld mf digital camera.

Neil,

The 670 was not designed to take film backs and the only interchangable parts in it are the spools (if I recall correctly). Therefore, there is no physical way to mount a digital back on it.

Even if there was some mechanical adaptor made, it would be impossible to get the chip to sit on the actual focal plane so infinity focus could not be achieved.

Narikin is right, a TC21 or a Cambo MiniWide (not as neat as the Alpa but cheaper). Will both offer a suitable solution with decent lenses. Ask Calumet to show you the MiniWide.

Thanks for that. I thought as much TBH.

I have to disagree with narakin on his assesment of the 670 lens not being that good quality though. I've been using one for 12 years and have had exceptional results from it.

the sharpest lens with the best color and contrast i have ever had was on the 690...i also had the 680 (which has phenomenal lenses as well) and some 645s...these fuji cameras are phantastic and i always found them to be unbelievably cheap....
can't see how a Dback would fit on one though (except for the 680 of course..)
