Epson Professional Glossy Paper
« on: February 05, 2007, 12:41:22 am »

I really like the now discontinued Epson Professional Glossy paper. This is the older proofing paper. I had bought several boxes when I heard they were discontinuing it, but my supply is running out.

So, for those of you familiar with this paper, what have you found to be the closest thing to this paper?

Thanks,
Darrell

Have you ever found a Epson profile for Epson Professional Glossy Paper for either the 7600 or 7800?  I still have two 20 sheet boxes Super A3 sized.  Never used since I couldn't locate a profile.

Paul,

I think that Epson orginally said to use the Epson Glossy profile at that time (whatever the name was 6 name changes ago).  I recenty used the Epson glossy profile with this paper on the 3800 and it was pretty close.

I had a custom profile made for my 2200 printer which worked well, and I will make a custom profile for the 3800 this week.

Have you came across anything close to this paper?

Regards,
Darrell

No, but some of the more expensive fiber based glossy papers may come closer to what you are looking for.  The Sunset line from Lexjet in one that come to mind.
