New to website design - can anyone tell me how to ensure the images on my site are available to a search in Google (Images)? If a file is called, say, 12345.jpg only, but has keywords and caption info in its IPTC data, will a Google search on those keywords locate the image? Or should the filename be changed to a short descriptive caption instead?

Thanks

It's fascinating that you don't seem to use Google to search for the answer to your question.

Here's a relevant article I found with less than 30 seconds worth of searching.

Basically, use the file name, ALT and TITLE attributes for best effect.
