Gold CD vs. DVD storage

I know the Gold CD's will give me 100 years +/- and the DVD's 30 +/-. You guys got any ideas on a better way to store images. I think some of what I shoot could be safely buried after 30 years. I just wonder if the DVD 30 year figure is a safe bet. Thanks for any ideas.

Read the DAM Book by Peter Krough. Backing up to CD/DVD should be just one minor part of your  system, not the only part.
