MacBook Pro - matte or glossy? 7200 RPM?

the glossy screen shows a "snappier" image....i prefer a "truer" image....
the latest macbook pro screens are the first laptop screens i have seen that allow some reasonable editing...but compared to my eizo they still suck....but that is not a fair comparison....for laptops they are great....
about the new screen technology: i am worried about colorfidelity...it seems to be going towards the glossy, snappy screens (xbrite, now even apple offers glossy) ...i would prefer more quality and better color.....anyway..
i have 2 7200rpm 100gb HDs in my 2.33 mbp (15") 3gb ram....can't wait for CS3 and C1 V4....this really makes a desktop obsolete for me...
i guess the new 160gb 7200rpm drives are coming out any day now....

btw: i have the FW800 expresscard adapter.....the problem with both SATA and FW800 raids is that in order to get the blazing speed one has to configure a striped array which scares the hell out of me....it is bad enough if one drive fails (and we all know they will) and the data has to be recovered...but in a striped array not only does the chance of one of the drives failing go up considerably...the chances of recovering any data are very slim....a DMF back will not really shoot noticeably faster to a superfast array....but when the shot is lost....
i have a FW800 array configured as raid 5 and it still captures as fast as my 7200rpm internal drive....but i know NOTHING can happen....

I would not worry the slightest about the glossy versus matte choice. Whatever you get you will lve.

The computer is so well made and robust. I can work with many programs open, CS2, iview, Mail and more and there's no issues at lall.

This is simply way above any machine I've had.

Notwithstanding Edmunds color expertise, which I am happy to aknowledge, one can edit if one has to on this laptop.

Most of what I do is non-destructive so it bothers me zero if I'd have to touch up color later, which I have not had to do. In practice, I think this book can be used for on site photo delivery and for checking the images in shoots.

I personally am happy with a matte screen. It just annoys me to see reflections!
