P30 and wide angles
« on: January 29, 2007, 08:26:56 am »

I'm about to dive into MF digital and would love feedback on using the P30 with wide angles, particularly anyone who is using a cambo/sinar/horseman with digitars and a p30 back. I know the p45/p25 may be more designed for this use however I do a lot of mixed work and only use wides 25% of the time so the p30 is perfect as long as it works with the new wide solutions. I don't need movements so the p30 may be fine? Thanks in advance.

David,

You would fine with the P30 on a 4x5 if you were using longer lenses, but you might have issues with wide lenses and the P30's microlenses.  I would recommend a P25/P45 over a P30 also because you do have a larger chip.

Thank you,
