Indicates that no more beta releases, but (obviously) won't confirm release date.

Yes, after reading that I got the impression we're looking at March with 50% probability. Just reading between the lines. I wonder if he went beyond his remit to disclose that (or even if it is true).

What makes you say March boku?  The fact that he would not comit to either date just means that they are both wrong.

I suspect that if they don't get release 1.0 out by mid Feb then we may well be seeing Beta 5 after all.   I doubt that they will allow the current beta to expire at the end of Feb without producing a replacment (there would likely be a riot!)

To be honest I would rather wait and have stable - optimized product than one that has been rushed out of the door due to promised dates.  However I do share the frustrations of many Lightroom users waiting for a product that was initaly due the end of last year.  The carrot has been dangling for so long I am thinking I may prefer a potato intead....

Either way I am betting on Mid-Feb either for the release or another beta.

With Michael and Jeff having already filmed their tutorial DVD It can't be too far off surely?

Both the Sydney and Cnet articles suggest specific dates for release (the Sydney articles, I think, is just jumping to conclusions).  In any event Mark can say those dates aren't correct, but could still release within the next few months.  It doesn't make sense to let the Beta expire without doing  something, so that likely sets the outside time  limit.

They have said, quite categorically, that they will have something out before Feb 28th, when Beta 4.1 expires. Because they are saying No to a Beta 5 for public preview then we must assume a Version 1.0 release before then. No, I don't have an idea of the date.
