I'm going to be in Richmond, Virginia for a couple of days and thought I'd take a few pictures.

I've noticed that a number of pictures online have the city skyline reflected in the river.  But looking at Google maps and the accompanying aerial pictures I don't see a place to set up.  It looks like all marshland below a bluff right by the river.  Does anyone have any hints for getting to a location to take a good reflective picture?

My photo club went on a field trip to Richmond a few weeks ago to the Lewis Ginter botanical gardens.  They  have a huge  conservatory with some exotic plants in bloom.  We were allowed in early and were  able to use tripods, but if it isn't busy I suspect they would allow it.

Here is their website: http://www.lewisginter.org/

I did not have much opportunity to explore Richmond itself, but I'd like to go back.

I realize (now) that this info is perhaps a little too late for you as you posted in January, but... maybe for your next trip. :-)

Good luck!
